Care Guide
Care Guide
Beeji products are designed to be worn and used. Like all well loved items, naturally they will age and change over time with wear. Here are a few things to keep in mind to ensure your Beeji hats age gracefully (just like you).
UV50+ Sun Protection Treatment
All our hats are treated with a UPF50+ sun protection treatment. These treatments naturally wear over time with washing. To maintain the treatment as long as possible we suggest just spot cleaning with mild soap and cold water.
Rinse and Air Dry
Exposure to the sun and salt water will naturally change the colour of your Beeji hats as well. While this is inevitable wearing your hat outdoors we suggest just treating your hat to a cool water rinse and let it dry naturally after a sweaty adventure or a splash in the waves. Do not store your hat when wet or it will get smelly!
Gentle Machine Wash
Let's face it, sometimes your Beeji hat may need a good wash. When it’s time for a proper clean, put your hat in a washing machine bag to avoid the elastic straps and chords getting caught in the machine.
Wash your hat in COLD WATER ONLY at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle. Best if you can wash on a water saving cycle because it's better for the planet.
No ironing, Tumble Drying or Dry Cleaning
Once you've washed your Beeji hat lay it flat outside in the open air to dry. No not iron, tumble dry or dry clean.
