Ready for a fresh dose of inspiration? This month flew by in a blur of great ideas, unforgettable stories, and a few discoveries we can’t keep to ourselves.
Forget scrolling endlessly trying to find your next favourite thing. We’ve done the homework for you, gathering the standout song, the can't-put-it-down book, the must-watch tv series, and the little life essentials we've been truly enjoying. It’s all here. Let’s dive into what’s been fuelling our creative energy!
Watching: Nobody Wants This

Season 2 of the hit series Nobody Wants This, is the perfect mix of sharp humour and quiet emotional honesty. It balances awkwardness and sincerity in a way that feels strangely comforting. One of those shows you finish and immediately want to talk about.
Listening: Lily Allen - West End Girl

Lily Allen’s West End Girl has been on repeat this month. The album blends nostalgia with a polished, modern edge, and her storytelling feels more vulnerable than ever. It’s the kind of record that sneaks up on you and stays in your head all day.
Reading: Jonathan Franzen - Crossroads

Crossroads by Jonathan Franzen has been my slow-burn read for November. It’s rich, layered, and full of the messy, human detail he’s known for. Every chapter feels like stepping into someone’s living room and overhearing their private thoughts.
Cooking: Early Summer Cooking

We’ve been leaning into early-summer cooking, still comforting, but fresher around the edges. Lots of roast chicken with lemon, early asparagus, and bowls of cherries on the bench and of course a tray of mangoes that are gone in a few days.
Creamy Lemon Chicken with Asparagus:
Ingredients
4 medium chicken breasts, (boneless, skinless)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp EACH crushed red pepper, salt, pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter, (divided)
1 bunch asparagus, (trimmed and cut in 3rds)
1/2 cup onion, (minced)
3-4 cloves garlic, (minced)
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken with Italian seasoning, crushed chili pepper, salt & pepper. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add butter onion, and asparagus to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until just tender. Add the garlic and cook for just under a minute.
- Add heavy cream, lemon juice, and parmesan cheese; stir to combine. Return chicken to the pan and simmer 3-4 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Taste and adjust salt & pepper if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add 1/4 cup water, chicken stock or broth.
Enjoying:Sunday Markets
Sunday markets have become a favourite little ritual. The slow buzz, the colours, the coffee-in-hand wandering, it all feels like a soft reset. It’s the kind of morning that makes the whole week feel lighter. A small but perfect weekly tradition and a great way to reset for the week ahead.
